Presidential & Dean's Scholarships

Presidential Scholarship at Laramie County Community College

The Presidential Scholarship is $1,600 per academic year ($800 per semester).

Eligibility

Graduating high school seniors who earned a 3.50-4.00 GPA at the end of your junior year.

Dean’s Scholarship at Laramie County Community College

The Dean's Scholarship is $800 per academic year ($400 per semester).

Eligibility

Graduating high school seniors who earned a 3.00-3.49 GPA at the end of your junior year.

Application and Selection Process

Students must complete the following steps to apply in addition to meeting the GPA eligibility requirements:

  1. Students must apply for Admission.
  2. Students are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
  3. Students are required to complete the online scholarship application: Presidential & Dean's Scholarship Application and include an unofficial copy of their high school transcript.
  4. Students must be enrolled full-time to receive the Presidential or Dean's Scholarships.

To maintain eligibility:

Students are eligible to receive the scholarship for their second year at LCCC if all requirements are met:

  • Continuous enrollment is required to maintain eligibility. Students who take a semester or more off (not including summer) will not be eligible to receive the Presidential or Dean's scholarships upon their return.
  • For the Presidential Scholarship, students must complete 24 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher during their first year to maintain eligibility for a second year of the scholarship.
  • For the Dean's scholarship, students must complete 24 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher during their first year to maintan eligibility for a second year of the scholarship.
  • The Presidential and Dean's scholarships do not continue after a student's second year.
