College Credit in High School
You can earn college credit while still in high school by taking concurrent enrollment and/or dual enrollment courses.
Concurrent enrollment means that you will be taking a class at your high school, taught by a high school teacher, earning both high school and college credit for the course. There are many concurrent enrollment class offerings, which vary by high school. There is no limit to the number of concurrent enrollment classes you can take. Learn more about concurrent enrollment or talk to your high school counselor if you are interested.
Dual enrollment means that you will be taking a college class at LCCC (or online), taught by an LCCC faculty member, earning both high school and college credit for the course. You can take up to four dual enrollment classes for free throughout your high school career. There are many class options. Learn more about dual enrollment, or talk to your high school counselor if you are interested.
