Accreditation

In fall 2018, the Higher learning Commission (HLC) discontinued its Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP). Laramie County Community College (LCCC) was one of the last institutions to experience a Comprehensive Quality Review in October 2019 using the AQIP Pathway. Because the College has  transitioned from the AQIP Pathway to HLC’s Open Pathway, this site includes a document archive of the institution’s AQIP activity from 2010 to 2020. This LCCC Archive of AQIP Activity is displayed to the right under Mission, Vision and Values.

The institution will be using HLC’s Open Pathway during the next reaffirmation cycle. This Pathway follows a 10-year cycle and, like all pathways, is focused on quality assurance and institutional improvement. The Open Pathway is unique in that its improvement component, the Quality Initiative, affords institutions the opportunity to pursue improvement projects that meet their current needs and aspirations.

Directly below this context narrative is the institution’s recent reaffirmation letter stating that the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) continued the accreditation of Laramie County Community College with the next Reaffirmation of  Accreditation scheduled for 2029-30. In conjunction with this action, the IAC required the following interim monitoring report: timeline and process used to ensure the quality of distance (online) courses (3A) due 12/31/2021. The LCCC Pathway Declaration Form, which designates LCCC’s Open Pathway selection, is also displayed below.
