We also have flexible starting points called Pathway Programs. These programs were developed with the "undecided" in mind.
Pathway programs allow you to pick a general area of interest and get started toward a degree. As part of your program, you'll learn about careers/options in that area. After the first semester, you have the option to switch to another program in that Pathway without wasting time or credits. Or, you can complete the Pathway Program and earn a degree with career or transfer options.
Pathway Program Options
Agriculture & Equine Program
The Agriculture & Equine Program is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare for a wide range of careers in the fields of agriculture and equine. Students will learn about livestock and horses, facility management, and business management. Students may participate in industry field trips as well as livestock show team, livestock judging team, ranch horse team, Block & Bridle Club, Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Team and rodeo team.
The Pathway Program is a great option for students who want a broad understanding of this area, those who intend to continue their education at a four-year institution, as well as those who are unsure which Ag & Equine program is best for them. Business & Accounting Program
The Business & Accounting Program degree is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare for a wide range of career options in business, accounting, finance, management, marketing, or related fields. Students may participate in the Rocky Mountain Investment Challenge, Business Startup Weekend, Rotaract and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Communication & Creative Arts Program
The Communication & Creative Arts Program is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare for a wide range of transfer options, including fine arts, humanities, English, Spanish and/or communication. Students with these skills prepare themselves to navigate complex working environments, to make difficult ethical choices, to contribute to their community, and to develop their creativity.

Health Sciences & Wellness Program
The Health Sciences & Wellness Program is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare to apply for our selective-admission Health Science and Wellness program. Students working toward admission into our Health Science and Wellness programs are required to declare the Associate of Science in Health Science and Wellness as their initial program of study until they are officially accepted into a program. This degree is designed to allow students the option to pursue a bachelor's degree.
Additional Information and Requirements: Students are encouraged to apply for more than one program each year. Each program has specific admission requirements – see program webpages for detailed information or meet with a health science student success coach or faculty mentor for specifics.
Human & Public Services Program
The Human & Public Services Program is designed for students who wish to explore coursework within this broad field. Students wanting to study Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Education, History, Psychology, Sociology, and other related fields can start here and transfer to a four-year university to continue their education.
The Pathway Program is also great option for students who are unsure which Human and Public Services program is best for them. Students can easily transfer into a specific Human and Public Services program after starting here.
Information Technology Program
The Information Technology Program is designed for students who wish to explore and prepare for a range of careers applying technology to business needs. Students will learn about computer repair, network design and management, mobile and web applications, data visualization, telecommunications systems, and server management. They have opportunities to use the CyberRange/CyberCity simulated electronic warfare environment, Microsoft Datacenter Academy working lab, and NERDS skill set development and community outreach center.

STEM Program
The STEM Program is designed for students who wish to explore a wide range of career options in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics in anticipation of selecting a degree in one of these specific fields. After the first semester of this degree, students will either branch off into a specific STEM program or work closely with their advising team to select appropriate electives.
This Pathway Program offers necessary course work to transfer to a four-year university, allowing students to pursue a general baccalaureate degree or further education in STEM. Many careers in STEM will require advanced degrees.
Trades & Technical Studies Program
The Trades & Technical Studies Program is designed for students who want to pursue a basic academic foundation. This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair and maintain an assortment of equipment across numerous careers.
The Pathway Program is a great option for students who want a broad understanding of this area, those who like to build upon their apprenticeship or credit diploma for job growth, as well as those who are unsure which Trades and Technical Studies program is best for them. Students can easily transfer into a specific Trades and Technical Studies program after starting here.
