The Kickstart Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship is a state scholarship program for Wyoming students 24 years of age or older that demonstrate financial need.

Eligible students can receive up to $1,800 per semester / $3,600 per academic year for full-time attendance (12 or more credits per semester). Scholarship awards are prorated for students enrolled less than full-time at $150 per credit hour.

Scholarship funding is limited.  Funding for academic programs that span more than one year is subject to the availability of funds. If funding permits, scholarships will be renewable for students that maintain continuous enrollment and satisfactory academic progress. An eligible student may not receive this scholarship for more than the equivalent of four full-time semesters and may not receive more than a total lifetime scholarship award of $7,200.

Students must apply prior to the first class day of the semester to qualify for this scholarship. If a student applies after the semester starts, they will be considered for the following semester.

About Kickstart Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship

$2.5 million was allocated for this scholarship program during the 2024 Wyoming legislative session. The allocation will be shared by all eight Wyoming community colleges and the University of Wyoming. The Kickstart Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship (KWTS) is a precursor to the Legislatively-created Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship (WTS) endowment which is intended to provide post-secondary educational access through financial assistance to qualified students.
