Automotive Technology Vehicle Repair Services
The LCCC Automotive Technology Program provides vehicle repairs to community members in our campus facilities as an educational experience for LCCC students.
Requesting Services:
Community members must request repair services through the Vehicle Repair Request Form and Liability Waiver. All vehicle repair requests are accepted or denied at the sole discretion of the program instructor(s).
Replacement Parts:
LCCC will not provide any parts or materials for the repair. All parts and materials required to complete the repair are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner and must be supplied a reasonable time frame.
Repair Time Frame:
LCCC strives to complete all work promptly. However, the owner must be willing to leave the vehicle for as long as necessary to complete the repairs or services.
Location:
The vehicle repair services are done in the Art Ellis Auto Tech Building (AT) on campus. See campus map.
While we would like to service/repair all the vehicles that request services, that is not possible. Approval of repair is determined on many factors such as class topic, availability of the students, and difficulty of the repair.
If your vehicle is approved, the students will be in contact to schedule a time to bring the vehicle in for an inspection through our messaging system. Then the vehicle may or may not be scheduled to for the service or repair. Please plan on leaving your vehicle for a day for the inspection. Please arrange to have the vehicle dropped off or picked up between class times.
Class Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Thank you for the opportunity to engage our automotive students by providing them with the educational benefit of repairing your vehicle. This process gives them a chance to interact with a customer (you) and use an online inspection system that they will use in the industry.
They will encounter many different makes and models on a daily basis. Providing them with a variety of different vehicles allows them to get to know the different automotive manufacturers’ repair and servicing procedures.
Please keep in mind that these are students and sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as planned. A repair might take longer than anticipated and/ or additional parts may be needed.
