  • New head coaches help athletes succeed in sports, life

    DescriptionThere are two new head coaches at LCCC, but neither are new faces or even new to the role of head coach. Both Danielle Rinaldo and Dean Finnerty served as interim head coaches at LCCC, with Danielle leading the women's basketball team during the 2020-2021 season and Dean stepping in for the rodeo team in 2023 before becoming the head coach.

  • Community college an ideal place to pursue arts

    There's an idea out there that getting a degree in the arts in college is a bad idea. Some people will say it's not a smart path to go down for economic reasons. This view, however, is shortsighted. The arts are integrated into our lives and, indeed, our jobs. So many facets of our lives are touched by art.

  • LCCC grad finds inspiration, career path in the West's open spaces

    Shelby Gibson will be a senior at the University of Wyoming this fall, but before that, she'll spend her summer putting in 10-hour days working with and learning from the land, an interest inspired from her start at Laramie County Community College.

    Summer often brings a pause in structured learning for many kids, but it doesn't have to lead to idle days. That's because Laramie County Community College offers a popular program where youngsters can learn and grow while enjoying all the summer fun they deserve with friends.
