Federal Grant

Laramie County Community College has held a federal Department of Education GEAR UP grant since 2005. Our current grant began in 2024 and focuses on objectives including Hathaway achievement, high school graduation, college enrollment, persistence to the second year of college, FAFSA completion, and avoiding remedial classes.

GEAR UP Wyoming is 100% funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education totaling $4,019,424 annually with an additional $4,019,424 annually provided by in-kind and scholarship contributions.
