What will I learn?

The Foundations of Skilled Trades program prepares students to service, maintain, repair or install equipment for a wide range of industries. Students will explore areas like electronics, safety and mechanical maintenance fundamentals.

The Foundations of Skilled Trades program is designed for the student who wishes to prepare for a career as a Wind Energy technician, HVAC technician, industrial electrician, maintenance technician or electrical controls technician. 

 

Credit Diploma

The Foundations of Skilled Trades program is intended to provide the opportunity for students to explore a career in industrial systems technology at the professional level. The credit diploma program teaches skills in several areas of industrial maintenance including electronics, safety and mechanical maintenance fundamentals.

Students enrolled in Electrical Technology, HVAC/R, Industrial Maintenance, Plumbing Technology and Wind Energy program courses will earn the Foundations of Skilled Trades credit diploma as part of their program.
