Ranch Management Program
Technology continues to evolve everywhere, including in the agricultural industry. Workers need specialized training in production methods as well as the latest developments in agriculture technology to prepare for a successful career in the agricultural industry.
What will I learn?
Students in LCCC's Ranch Management Program (formerly the Agricultural Production Technology Program) learn about areas such as animal care and breeding, crop and soil science and participate in an agricultural internship. The program also allows students to study in LCCC’s state-of-the-art facilities and get hands-on experience with livestock.
Credit Diploma
The Credit Diploma in Ranch Management prepares students to immediately enter the workforce in direct support of production agriculture working as an employee or entrepreneur in livestock and/or crop production. Students enrolled in this credit diploma will gain industry certifications for commercial pesticide application and artificial insemination as well as a supervised internship. The technical expertise offered in this degree program can be easily embedded in the Agriculture and Equine Pathway Associate of Applied Science.

Agriculture Activities
Students have to opportunity to participate in clubs like the livestock show team, livestock judging team, ranch horse team, block and bridle club, intercollegiate horse show association team and rodeo team in addition to industry field trips and internships.
