Datacenter Specialist Program
What will I learn?
Datacenter Specialists need to be well versed in operating systems, computer hardware for networks and servers as well as backing up and securing information. Students in this program spend a semester diving into the specific skills they need to succeed in the unique work environment of a datacenter.
They also have opportunities to use the CyberRange/CyberCity simulated electronic warfare environment, Microsoft Datacenter Academy working lab and/or NERDS skillset development and community outreach center.
Credit Diploma
This program, developed in partnership with Microsoft, prepares students for entry level employment in datacenters or other businesses that have need of computer technicians with training and/or certifications in basic computer repair, server installation, and networking. This program prepares students to take the industry certification exams of CompTIA A+ Operating Systems, A+ PC Hardware, and Server+ as well as acquire the soft skills needed to be successful in an IT career.
