LCCC Student Art Show returns to campus gallery
CHEYENNE, Wyoming — The 2025 Laramie County Community College Student Art Show will
be on display from Apr. 7 through May 11 in the Esther and John Clay Fine Art Gallery
on the Cheyenne campus.
All submissions are from currently enrolled LCCC students, many of whom are not art majors. Students can submit work from any medium, whether created in a college class or independently. Around 100 unique pieces will be featured in the show, most of them two-dimensional, with a variety of sculptural works also on display.
“The opportunity to exhibit artwork in a professional gallery provides our students with a learning experience they can’t always get in the classroom,” said Daniel Maw, LCCC art instructor and gallery coordinator. “Many students have never prepared their work for exhibition or considered the economic and emotional impact of pricing and selling their art. Sharing completed works with an audience can be a transformative experience for emerging artists.”
The gallery will be open from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A public reception is set for 10 a.m.–noon Apr. 15 in the gallery.
“The arts can bring communities together like nothing else, and gallery exhibitions and receptions are opportunities to demonstrate the importance of the arts,” Maw said.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
