LCCC to Host Sneak Peek Event on October 5

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Laramie County Community College is hosting a Sneak Peek event on Oct. 5 where anyone interested in taking classes or learning more can get a feel for campus life.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore campus, meet faculty and learn more about scholarships and the application process.

Those interested in pursuing higher education are encouraged to attend the event and explore the exceptional opportunities, facilities and people at the college, said Alli McCown, LCCC Enrollment Services assistant director. Registration for the event is available at lccc.wy.edu/admissions/SneakPeek.

“We have amazing facilities, programs, resources and people here, and we are so excited to get to connect potential students to all of this at the event,” McCown said.

Check-in for the event is scheduled from 8:15-9:15 a.m. in the Clay Pathfinder Building. Parking is available in lots E, C and B. Participants can then choose their own activities, including campus tours, learning about campus resources and sessions for parents and family members. Visitors can also explore different programs and academic pathways during this time.

Lunch will be available for free in the LCCC Dining Hall anytime between 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Afterward, attendees will have free admission to any of that afternoon’s LCCC Golden Eagles sporting events: Men's Soccer at 1 p.m. at the soccer field on the west end of campus, Volleyball at 2 p.m. in the Blue Federal Credit Union Recreation & Athletic Complex, and Women's Soccer at 3:30 p.m. on the soccer field.

The event offers a unique chance to experience what LCCC has to offer, whether a high school student, a current LCCC student or someone considering a few classes — all are welcome to attend, McCown said.

LCCC’s Main Campus is located at 1400 E. College Dr. in Cheyenne.
