“We’re excited to bring our audience a festive event of holiday cheer filled with lively performances from our ensembles,” said Michael Lange, LCCC’s Fine & Performing Arts program director. “We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable afternoon of music that captures the timeless beauty of the season.”
The brass band will open the show with “Deck the Halls (A Merrie Fugue)” followed by a few other numbers. The Collegiate Choir will perform “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” with Missa Bersabe on violin. Cantorei follows with “O Christmas Tree (A Jazzy Holiday Mini-Medley).” Both choirs will come together for a series of carols the audience will surely know. The Jazz Ensemble’s performance will include several fun pieces, including “(Everybody’s Waitin’ for) The Man with the Bag” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” Selections from the holiday classic “The Nutcracker” will be performed by the Chamber Orchestra, followed by the afternoon’s final set by the Wind Ensemble.
