Laramie County Community College IT Students to Receive $15,000 in Scholarship Funding
CHEYENNE, WYOMING – A recent $15,000 contribution from AT&T to Laramie County Community College will help fund new scholarship opportunities for students pursuing careers in information technology.
Students working toward a degree or certificate in IT programs, such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, Data Management, Networking and IT Project Management, are eligible to receive scholarship support from the new funding.
As a constantly evolving and expanding field of study, aspiring IT professionals must undergo rigorous training and coursework as they work to obtain the necessary qualifications to graduate and move into the workforce. This $15,000 donation, provided by AT&T to Laramie County Community College, will help provide financial assistance to students pursuing a career in IT services.
“AT&T is proud to support Laramie Community College as they train the next generation of technology experts in Wyoming,” said Guillermo Lambarri, AT&T Wyoming external affairs director. “Investing in education today will have lasting, positive impacts on Wyoming’s communities and help to close the digital divide.”
LCCC offers a variety of IT programs through both the Information Technology Pathway and the STEM Pathway. Courses are offered in-person, online and in a high-flex format.
