LCCC nominee Bob Womack wins statewide community college honor

CHEYENNE, WYO. — At the Wyoming Association of Community College Trustees annual reception help Wednesday evening, Bob Womack was named the state’s Foundation Volunteer of the Year.

Womack was nominated by Laramie County Community College for his work with and support of the college’s foundation. A member of the LCCC Foundation Board, the award recognized his commitment to Golden Eagle athletics and his support of veterans on campus, in addition to serving as a staunch advocate and ambassador for LCCC.

A dedicated volunteer to the community, Womack is vice president of Spradley Barr Motors, Inc.

Other LCCC nominees in additional categories for the annual awards were:

  • Faculty: Sue Torney
  • Professional Employee: Danielle Jensen-Ryan
  • Student: Umar Faruk Balogun Mohammed
  • Trustee: Don Erickson

Additionally, two LCCC students were recognized as part of the All-Wyoming Academic Team, supported by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society: Johnnel Scotland and Kacey Willyerd.
