LCCC’s theatre production receives nine Kennedy Center honors
CHEYENNE, WYO. — Following an adjudication by a team representing the Region 7 Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival, the Laramie County Community College theatre program received nine regional nominations and honors for the spring production of the play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.
This is the most nominations the LCCC program has received from KCACTF for a theatre production.
Three students were recognized with Irene Ryan nominations for acting: Brandon Brown, Cody Harvick, and Bianca White
Brown, also received another honor: a special achievement in acting by KC/ACTF.
“In my time here, it’s only happened once before. It’s for work so extraordinary, so singular in its completeness, that it deserves recognition beyond the Irene Ryan nomination,” said Jason Pasqua, theatre instructor and director of the production
Several LCCC students received Meritorious Achievement distinctions from KC/ACTF for their work on the production:
- Zach Hurst: Lighting Design
- Emilygrace Piel: Stage Management
- Olivia Saulsberry: Assistant Directing
