LCCC’s women’s basketball to hold events in Pine Bluffs and Burns

CHEYENNE, WYO. — Coming off a highly successful first season, the LCCC women's basketball team will visit eastern Laramie County.

"These open gyms are a great opportunity to give communities a chance to see and meet the players that they may not otherwise get to," said Brian Ortmeier head coach of LCCC women's basketball.

Marquelle Dent, former UW women's basketball standout and current LCCC assistant coach, will also be on hand.

The entire community is encouraged to watch and meet the Golden Eagles, as well as learn more about the college. The schedule is:

• 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1 – Burns High School
• 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 6 – Pine Bluffs High School

Both events will begin with the team's shoot-around, followed by an open house where the community can meet the players and to discuss the college (including the upcoming bond election) with LCCC officials.
