LCCC theatre production of "The Glass Menagerie" receives honors

CHEYENNE, WYO. — The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival has recognized Laramie County Community College's production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie.

Performances of this American classic ran in November 2016. Jason Pasqua, LCCC theatre faculty, received an award for achievement in directing, and student Alexander Soden received an award for his lighting design.

LCCC students Christian Borgaard and Michelle Barlow received Irene Ryan Scholarship nominations for their performances. They will audition for the scholarship in February.

The LCCC theatre program's next production is Everyman by Anonymous, adapted by Pasqua. Performances will take place in April.

The KCACTF is a national program involving 18,000 students from colleges and universities, serving as a catalyst to improve the quality of college theater. With a network of more than 600 academic institutions, these theater departments and student artists showcase their work and receive outside assessment by KCACTF respondents.
