Candidate Forum Coming to LCCC

CHEYENNE, WYO. — With the general election just weeks away, voters are encouraged to learn more about those running for office at an event at Laramie County Community College.

Candidates for the LCCC board of trustees will participate in a forum and candidates for mayor of the city of Cheyenne will participate in a debate on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Co-sponsored by Wingspan student media and the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, the event takes place at 5:30 p.m. in the LCCC Center of Conferences and Institutes' Centennial Room.

The public is invited to attend the forum, which also will be broadcast on Charter Channel 191 and streamed online at wingspan.lccc.wy.edu.

This year, 11 board of trustees candidates are vying for four positions at the college. Wingspan will publish a voters' guide featuring the trustee candidates in its Oct. 17 issue.

Following the August primary, Marian Orr and Amy Surdam advanced to the general election in Cheyenne's mayoral race.
