Fire department goes to college for training

CHEYENNE — Don’t be alarmed when you see fire trucks at the Laramie County Community College residence halls Thursday night. They’ll be there for training, not for a fire.

Laramie County Fire District 1 will be using the college’s residence halls to practice on the alarm systems and alarm panels at 7 p.m. Thursday. The training will benefit LCCC, the fire department, and the community as a whole, as the firefighters will become more familiar with systems they might encounter in a true emergency elsewhere in Cheyenne.
