LCCC’s Process Technology program honored for training partnership

This summer, the Wyoming Workforce Development Council bestowed special recognition on one of Laramie County Community College’s newest programs.

LCCC, in partnership with Casper College, Western Wyoming Community College, Holly Frontier, Dyno Nobel, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services and others, was honored by the WWDC with the 2014 Partnership Award for its efforts in designing and delivering Wyoming's first ever process technology training program.

"This new training program allows us to choose our workers from the cream of the crop," said Eric Bowler, human resources manager for Dyno Nobel.

Since the program’s launch in August 2013, LCCC has trained 34 workers in this program. Grant funding is available to train another group of students beginning in late August and again in January 2015.
