CHEYENNE, WYO. — April is National Poetry Month, and Laramie County Community College is celebrating with Open Mic Afternoon.
Free and open to the campus as well as the community, the program takes place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in the LCCC Student Lounge in the College Community Center.
In this celebration of language, participants are encouraged to read original works or the works of someone else, including poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, short plays/monologues, and even singers and songwriters all welcome.
Audiences are welcome to drop by anytime during the program and stay as long as they like.
Additionally, there will be hourly drawings for door prizes and a free photo booth for audience to enjoy. Refreshments will be served.
