Participants awarded CPM certification at LCCC
CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Eleven participants worked tirelessly during this year to earn their Wyoming Certified Public Manager credential from Laramie County Community College through its Office of Workforce Development.
Participants were awarded their credentials on Sept. 13.
Those graduates are Michelle Bohanan (Wyoming Public Service Commission), Kim Caylor (Wyoming Department of Health), Michelle Gable (Wyoming Primary Care Association), Megan Hansen (Wyoming Primary Care Association), Cathy Hoover (Wyoming Department of Health), Mark Kelly (Wyoming Department of Health), Mica Moeller (Wyoming Department of Health), Ashley Provencio (Wyoming Department of Health), Holy Scheer (Wyoming Department of Health), Taylor Stokes (Wyoming Department of Health) and Krista Wilson (State Engineer’s Office).
As part of the graduation and credentialing requirement, all participants were asked to develop and initiate delivery of a project that addresses continuous improvement in their respective organization.
The Certified Public Manager program is designed to develop the critical skills demanded by leaders in public and nonprofit sectors within the state. Competencies addressed include: leading people, developing self, personal and organizational integrity, systemic integration, managing work and change leadership. The program, which is nationally recognized and respected, consists of 11 2-3 day sessions during a 12-month period. LCCC is the only accredited program in Wyoming to offer the Certified Public Manager credential opportunity.
