What will I learn?
The Industrial Systems Technology program prepares students to service, maintain, repair or install equipment for a wide range of industries. Students will explore areas like electronics, safety and mechanical maintenance fundamentals.
The IST program is designed for the student who wishes to prepare for a career as a Wind Energy technician, HVAC technician, industrial electrician, maintenance technician or electrical controls technician.
The Industrial Systems Technology (IST) program is intended to provide the opportunity for students to explore a career in industrial systems technology at the professional level. The credit diploma program teaches skills in several areas of industrial maintenance including electronics, safety and mechanical maintenance fundamentals.
Students enrolled in Electrical Technology, HVAC/R, Industrial Maintenance, Plumbing Technology and Wind Energy program courses will earn the Industrial Systems Technology credit diploma as part of their program.

Graduates of this program generally continue their education in order to work as electricians, industrial technicians and maintenance technicians.
