Historical Movie Series: Black History Month - Feb. 22

As part of an ongoing film series presented by Campus Activities Board and History Professor Mary Ludwig, there will be a screening of the 1915 film Birth of a Nation to commemorate Black History Month at 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 22 in the Student Lounge.

Mary Ludwig will introduce the film with a discussion of the film's significance to Black History.

Based on a play called "The Clansmen," D.W. Griffith's three-hour Civil War epic traces the development of the Civil War itself, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the rise of the Ku Klux Klan through the lives of two families. This is a Silent Movie.
