Professional Experience:

Hi, I am Rakhshi and I like to say that I am from Pakistan via Fort Collins. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Colorado at Denver.
I attained my Certified Addictions Counselor level II and Licensed Professional Counselor credentials while working at The Council in Denver. I was there for 11 years, the last six years as the clinical director of this nonprofit agency.
Through education and life experiences I have gained many tools that have helped me during my time as GEAR UP outreach coordinator. I have extensive experience working with a diverse population. I especially enjoy working with students and families to provide students with the opportunity to attain a college education and achieve personal academic excellence through GEAR UP activities.
