Student Employment

Are you interested in working while you attend classes at LCCC? It’s simple to get a job on or off campus. Each year, Laramie County Community College employs more than 100 students in over 100 jobs on campuses in Cheyenne and Laramie.

Types of Employment

  • On-campus employment, via Federal Work Study and student employment. Federal Work Study is awarded through the FAFSA application and the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office. If you are not eligible for federal work study, you can apply for any of the student employment positions. Find and apply for on-campus jobs via the Human Resources office.
  • Off-campus employment, either part-time, full-time or seasonal. 
College Central Network

Find Off-Campus Jobs

  1. Go to College Central Network.
  2. Register.
  3. Go to Student Central and click Search for Opportunities Posted to My School.
  4. View off-campus jobs.
  5. Upload or build a resume, start an online portfolio, view resume and cover letter samples, watch career advice videos and more.

Work Experience in Your Major

When you're looking for a job that will start your career, having prior experience is a definite plus. That's where experiential learning fits in. Experiential learning helps you obtain work experience in your major field of study while you're still in school. So in addition to having a degree or certificate when you graduate, you can have practical work experience related to your major. Contact us or talk with your adviser for more information.
