Social Sciences

Associate of Arts

The Social Science Associate of Arts degree program is recommended for students who need concentrated social science courses to transfer to another educational institution or for employment enhancement. This course of study provides basic knowledge and skills students need to be successful in upper-level specialty courses. The curriculum provides flexibility in order to individualize learning needs within the requirements of the college's associate's degree with a minimum loss of credit when transferring. Because of the varied directions students can take in the field of social science, they are urged to work closely with their faculty advisor in their concentration of study in outlining a course of study that will meet their needs, especially if they plan to transfer into a specific discipline.

Cost of Attendance

For general college expense, students can view LCCC’s tuition and fees Web page. There are generally no additional program-specific costs associated with the Social Sciences Program.
