Clinical Sites

As a student, you will be placed in a variety of clinical settings from a long-term care facility to a medical floor in an acute care center, all under the supervision of a member of the nursing faculty.

In each of these clinical settings, you will be expected to transfer what you have learned in the classroom to care for your assigned patients and you will be expected to be prepared to care for your assigned patients by knowing, for example, the pathophysiological basis for the current medical problems, their current medications, laboratory values, appropriate growth and developmental care and relevant patient/family teaching.

The ReNEW Curriculum is a concept-based curriculum and clinical experiences are designed to match and augment what is taught in the classroom. The Nursing Program has a variety of clinical sites and students may need to travel in order to get the best experience.
