The competition was held on campus at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.
All riders rode very competitively in their respective preliminary classes. From the preliminary classes, only the top eight are brought back to the final class; from these qualifiers, the top four riders from each division will be represented at the IHSA national competition.
Kelsey Jenkins and Jessie Johnson placed ninth in their preliminary classes of advanced horsemanship and intermediate horsemanship, respectively. Kailey Kaufmann rode in the finals class for beginner horsemanship and placed fifth. LCCC
was represented very strongly; however, no Western riders qualified for nationals this year.
The IHSA national horse show will be held in Harrisburg, Penn., May 1-4.
