Laramie County Community College has begun its search process for two vice president positions; Academic Affairs and Student Services. Dr. Marlene Tignor, who currently is the VP for Academic Affairs, is retiring; and Grant Wilson, the current VP for Student Services, is serving in an interim capacity.
Pauly Group Consultants is assisting with the national search. Pauly Group’s Angela Provart visited the LCCC campus May 9 and 10 to meet with the search committees and discuss the process.
The committees will meet throughout the summer to evaluate and interview candidates. The process will be similar to the process used to hire Dr. Joe Schaffer in 2011; the top candidates will be invited to campus for the opportunity to meet and converse with students, faculty, staff and the community.
The college will announce dates of those visits later in the summer.
The search committee for the Vice President of Academic Affairs is co-chaired by Maryellen Tast, dean of the Lifelong Learning Center; and Kathleen Urban, dean of Arts & Humanities. The search committee for the Vice President of Student Services is chaired by Lisa Murphy, executive director of Public & Government Relations.
