The Association of Latinos Achieving Success chapter at Laramie County Community College is ready for a fiesta.
ALAS is co-hosting this year’s Cinco de Mayo celebration, which will take place from noon to 5 p.m. May 1 in LCCC’s Multipurpose Gym.

Join ALAS for kids’ games and great food. LCCC’s music club will perform Latin jazz in keeping with the carnival’s theme – El Espiritu de la Cultura (the spirit of culture).

Cinco de Mayo events throughout North America celebrate the Battle of Puebla. The badly outnumbered Mexican army defeated the French army, which at the time was considered the strongest force in the world.
