Rodeo team has great start to new season

Seven members make it to the short round.

The Laramie County Community College rodeo team sent seven members to the short round on Sunday in Chadron, Neb.

· Ty Taypotat took sixth place in bareback riding.
· Loncey Johnson earned 40 points in bull riding.
· Jamie Musfelt ended up in ninth place in goat tying.
· Jake Buckhaults was third in the long round and third in the average in saddle bronc riding.
· Dillon Evenson was sixth in the long round in steer wrestling, but had a no time in the short round.
· Raelynn Keller and Tiana Arensdorf both qualified for the short round in fifth and sixth positions, but missed their calves in another short round.

Coach Browder said, “We need to concentrate on being consistent and getting it done in the short round as well as the long round.”

The rodeo team will travel to Riverton, Wyo., on Sept. 17-19 for its next rodeo event.
