Men’s rodeo team finishes 5th in CSU rodeo

Women’s team finished in tenth place.

The Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team finished in fifth place with 215 points in the Colorado State University Rodeo in Fort Collins, Colo., March 30-April 1. The women’s team finished in tenth place with 20 points.

Top Performers

  • Justin Thomas placed second in bull riding with 154 points.
  • Gus Thoreson placed fifth in saddle bronc riding with 73 points.
  • Katelyn Ellis and Ashley Kroul tied for seventh place in breakaway roping with a combined time of 3.1.

The region standings have the women’s team down a spot to fifth place with 970 points and the men’s team holding in eighth place with 1,010 points.

The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Torrington, Wyo., April 5-7 for the Eastern Wyoming College rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at
