Former LCCC basketball players compete in national tourneys

Four players from 2009-2010 season helping their new college teams this tournament season.
Laramie County Community College is well-represented in national basketball tournaments this season. Each of LCCC’s four 2009-10 sophomores who moved on to play at four-year schools this year have helped their teams extend their seasons.
Romaric Lasme is a backup power forward at Morehead State University in Kentucky. Morehead State, champions of the Ohio Valley Conference, earned a No. 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will face the University of Louisville this Thursday in the second round. The game will be played at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
Kaipo Sabas is a walk-on guard at Colorado State University. The Rams are a No. 3 seed in the National Invitation Tournament and will host Fairfield University tonight.
Mike Johnson is a backup small forward at St. Catherine College in Kentucky. This season the Patriots qualified for their first-ever NAIA Division I National Tournament. St. Catherine opens the tournament today against Lindenwood University. The NAIA National Tournament is the oldest postseason national tournament in the United States and is held in Kansas City, Mo.
Davin Anderson appeared in all 29 games for the Adams State College Grizzlies. The Grizzlies qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament for just the second time in school history. Unfortunately, ASC fell to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Colorado School of Mines in the first round of the tournament.
