LCCC eliminates admissions application fee

Friday, October 12, 2012
Students will no longer pay $20 to apply for LCCC admission.

The $20 fee for the application for admission at Laramie County Community College has been eliminated beginning with students entering in the spring 2013 semester. The college is currently identifying any applicants for spring semester who have paid the fee, and will refund them soon.

"This is a significant help for prospective students, as we were the only Wyoming community college still charging this fee," said Judy Hay, Vice President of Student Services." Prospective students sometimes have trouble paying the fee and delay the process or don’t start it at all. Elimination of the fee also helps us move forward more effectively to offer an online application process for those wishing to apply electronically."
