Equestrian team places 12 athletes in Western Show

The Golden Eagles sixth in the first show and fourth in the second show.
 
The Laramie County Community College equestrian team rode this past weekend at Colby County Community College in Colby, Kan. This was the team’s first competition. The Golden Eagles sixth in the first show and fourth in the second show.

· Kayla Fisk placed fourth and seventh in Open Reining; second and third in Open Horsemanship
· Jamie Johnson placed sixth in Open Horsemanship
· Jordan Matthews placed second in both shows in Novice Horsemanship
· Alaina Mikesell placed third in Intermediate II Horsemanship
· Candice Lahners placed second and fourth in Intermediate II Horsemanship
· Sara Eggert placed fourth and seventh in Intermediate II Horsemanship
· Annie Hoag placed fourth in Intermediate II Horsemanship
· Hannah Martin placed fourth and sixth in Intermediate I Horsemanship
· Brittany DeMartin placed fifth in both shows in Intermediate I Horsemanship
· Adrian Parman placed third in both shows in Beginner Horsemanship
· Lily Crawford placed fifth and seventh in Beginner Horsemanship
· Jessie Johnson placed first in both shows in Beginner Horsemanship

The Equestrian team’s next event will be Oct. 8-9 at the University of Colorado in Fort Lupton, Colo.
