LCCC student-athletes take All-Academic Team honors

The volleyball team was named an NJCAA All-Academic Team.
 
Laramie County Community College’s student-athletes have shown that they are serious about their education, and now the National Junior College Athletic Association has recognized more than a dozen Golden Eagles for their academic dedication.

Sofia Ivanovic, Aleksandra Manolova, Jemma Woods, Kelsey Ross and Mackenzie Foster of the volleyball team were named to the Region IX All-Academic Team, as were Zahimara Fantauzzi, Shino Kunisawa, Franchelis A. Cruz, Shayleen Crank, Junko Honda, Deysla R. Delgado and Marissa Schulz of the women’s soccer team; Cameron Clark, Luis Raul Gonzales and Christopher Ruff of the men’s soccer team; and Bruno Machado of the basketball team.

Clark also earned the NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement for his 3.8 GPA, and Machado earned the NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement for his 3.76 GPA.

Additionally, the LCCC volleyball team was named an NJCAA All-Academic Team. The minimum combined team GPA required for consideration is a 3.00; the Golden Eagles volleyball team earned a 3.21 team GPA.
