University of Wyoming falls to Golden Eagles
The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles men’s soccer team traveled over the hill to Laramie to play the University of Wyoming Cowboys on Oct. 14. The guys came out a little rusty after missing four days of practice due to the early October snow, but walked away with a 4-0 win.

In the 20th minute Chris Kistenoglu scored the lone goal of the first half and was assisted by Guilherme Andrade. In the second half the Golden Eagles got some momentum going. In the 67th minute Cory Tanner crossed in a corner kick, which Jed DeLeeuw then misdirected to Jeff Hampton who put the ball into the net. Kistenoglu scored his second goal of the match in the 74th minute, assisted by Tanner and the last goal of the match was scored by Devin Hernandez in the 84th minute, assisted by Alex Wixom. Goal keepers Brandon Carrick and Collin McGuire and the Golden Eagles defense got their eighth shutout of the season.

The LCCC men’s soccer team (8-7 overall, 4-0 in Region IX) will host their last regular season game against North Idaho College on Oct. 18 at noon.
