LCCC instructor to hold book signing at Ludden Library

Friday, February 10, 2012
The event takes place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Laramie County Community College adjunct English instructor Christi Mitchell is unveiling her new children’s book, “The Lunchbox Lady,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a book signing Tuesday, Feb. 14, in LCCC’s Ludden Library.

“The Lunchbox Lady” is the result of a lesson plan Mitchell was asked to create while she was a teaching artist for the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education. She enlisted the aid of her two sisters, Anita Mehus and Annette Marsico, and the trio produced an adorable story that celebrates creativity, kindness and nutrition.

Mitchell plans to dress as Mable, the story’s main character, for the signing.

Mitchell and Marsico paired up for the engaging text, while Mehus used her whimsical talent for joyful art to bring the story to life.

A limited number of Mitchell’s book will be on sale at the signing. For more information or to order a copy of the book, visit
