Equestrian team places 13 athletes in first western show

More than 10 riders place.
The Laramie County Community College equestrian team rode in its first western show of the season. The Golden Eagles placed fifth in the first show, but they were able to rebound and place first in the second show on Oct. 13-14 at Colby Community College in Colby, Kan.

Individual Results:
· Kelsey Jenkins placed first in both classes of novice horsemanship
· Kailey Kaufmann placed first in beginner horsemanship
· Jessie Johnson placed first in both classes of beginner horsemanship
· Kaitlyn Hurdle placed first and fourth in advanced horsemanship
· Adrian Parman placed second in beginner horsemanship
· Ashley Hunter placed second in beginner horsemanship
· Candice Lahners placed second and fourth in intermediate horsemanship
· Kayla Fisk placed second and sixth in open reining, also placed fifth and sixth in open horsemanship
· Brittany DeMartin placed second and sixth in intermediate horsemanship; also she qualified for western regional competition and pointed into the next division
· Lily Crawford placed second and sixth in intermediate horsemanship
· Morgan Knoll placed third and fourth in intermediate horsemanship
· Ann Puscheck placed fifth in novice horsemanship
· Sarah Stull placed fifth and seventh in intermediate horsemanship

The equestrian team’s next event will be Oct. 27-28 at University of Colorado in Fort Lupton, Colo.
