CHEYENNE, WYO. — John Straley, former criminal defense investigator and current full-time writer, is coming to Cheyenne to speak with audiences about his life and work.
This event takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, in the Clay Pathfinder Building on the LCCC Campus. Free and open to the community, the program is presented by the Dinneen Writers Series and the LCCC Foundation.
Known for such works as Cold Storage, Alaska and The Woman Who Married a Bear, Straley is known for witty mysteries and crime novels. His works have received praise from critics across the country. Earlier this year, he was honored by the Alaska State Legislature for more than three decades of public service to that state in the fields of poetry, law and literature.
As Alaska's Writer Laureate, he dedicated his time to literacy outreach to under-served students and incarcerated people.
