LCCC instructors bring attention to cybersecurity

Laramie County Community College instructors Rob Van Cleave and Roger Findley are two of the newest members of the National Cybersecurity Student Association Advisory Board. This student-centric organization promotes cybersecurity, and its parent organization is the National Cyberwatch Center. The center is a consortium of higher education institutions, public and private schools, businesses and government agencies focused on collaborative efforts to advance cybersecurity education and strengthen the national cybersecurity workforce.

Van Cleave and Findley are starting a chapter of the National Cybersecurity Student Association on the LCCC campus.

In addition, Van Cleave and Findley’s CSEC 1500 students recently attended a recruiting event for those interested in working at the National Security Agency; and on March 3, those students and others will participate in an online job fair for NSA, FBI, DHS and the CIA. Those interested in participating in the job fair can do so at icvirtualfair.com.
