Proceeds from the rodeo will be put toward a scholarship fund established in the memory of Shawn Dubie. Shawn was a saddle bronc rider from Alpena, Mich., by way of Rock Springs, Wyo., who rode for LCCC on a rodeo scholarship but died from injuries sustained while competing in saddle bronc riding. Recipients of the Shawn Dubie Memorial Scholarship must attend LCCC, actively participate on the LCCC Rodeo Team and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
