CHEYENNE, WYO. —Look to the skies! The 2015 United States Air Force Thunderbirds Air Show is returning to Cheyenne, and Laramie County Community College is again the place to be for the best view of the show.
The event takes place on Wednesday, July 22. Though the show begins at 9:30 a.m., guests are encouraged to arrive early, as College Drive will close at 9 a.m., and traffic is expected to be extremely heavy that morning.
To avoid the hassle of parking or driving to the campus, shuttles are available to take people to the show. They will run from 7 to 9 a.m. that day, and can be accessed at either Holliday Home Plaza on Nationway or Cheyenne Plaza on Lincolnway.
Concessions will be available prior to the event, and activities are scheduled to entertain the crowd before the show, including a performance from the Air Force band Wild Blue.
Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with sunscreen, water and lawn chairs.
This is the Thunderbirds’ 61st appearance during Frontier Week, and the 16th performance at LCCC. Last year’s event drew more than 16,000 people to the campus.
