The Pathways Model is an integrated, institution-wide approach to student success based on intentionally designed, clear, coherent and structured educational experiences, informed by available evidence, that guide each student effectively and efficiently from her/his point of entry through to attainment of high quality post-secondary credentials and careers with value in the labor market.
CHANGE THE SYSTEM
The Guided Pathways project was created for colleges dissatisfied with their student success rates despite well-intentioned faculty, staff, and administrators. The structure of post-secondary education was designed over hundreds of years to educate people who had an abundance of time and money. Our students have neither. We have to change the system if we have any hope of significantly changing the outcomes for our students.
