The Laramie County Community College volleyball team stepped out of Region IX play to travel to Craig, Colorado for a match with Colorado Northwestern Community College. The Golden Eagles picked up the win in four sets (24-26, 29-27, 25-20, and 25-20).
All four sets were tight, and the Golden Eagles came close to taking set number one, but they were unable to match the tempo of Colorado Northwestern. Freshman Makenzie DiGesualdo (Fredrick, Colorado) had a career night in assists, dishing out 23. Fellow freshman Suzie Rhodes (Bayfield, Colorado) had 21 assists on the evening.
Sophomore Aspen Olson led the group with 14 kills in the match. Freshman Casady Teixeira (Honolulu, Hawaii) recorded eight blocks in the match.
LCCC is now 21-9 on the year. Up next for the Golden Eagles is a match with Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, on Thursday. LCCC defeated the Thunderbirds earlier in the year in Cheyenne.
