Golden Eagles open Region IX play with win
The Laramie County Community College men’s soccer team had been looking for its first victory of the year and got it at it at the right time by defeating Western Wyoming Community College 2-0 at home to open up Region IX play.

The Mustangs fired off some shots in the second half, but the Golden Eagles were still in control of possession and tacked on the second goal in the 87th minute when they countered on a Mustang corner kick. It was Garcia again finding an open teammate in freshman Rafael Munoz for the goal.
