Cancelled: Rick Ewig: Bribery and Corruption in Cheyenne during World War II - Mar. 26

The LCCC Foundation’s Gerald and Jessie Chambers Speakers Series present Rick Ewig: Bribery and Corruption in Cheyenne during World War II at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 26, in LCCC's ANB Bank Leadership Center in the Clay Pathfinder Building.

During the spring of 1944, Laramie County Prosecuting Attorney Byron Hirst arrested Cheyenne's mayor, chief of police, and two other police officers for extorting several local businesses.  The talk examines the bribery charges brought against the mayor and police officers, their trial, along with other factors which illustrate some of the problems associated with the boom times in the capital city during the war years.

This event is free and open to the public.
